Classification of solvable groups with a given property
In this paper we classify all finite solvable groups satisfying the following property P5: their orders of representatives are set-wise relatively prime for any 5 distinct non-central conjugacy classes.
متن کاملAutomorphism Groups of a Class of Solvable Complete Lie Algebras
In this paper we study the automorphism group of solvable complete Lie algebra whose nilpotent radical is a quasi Heisenberg algebra. AMS Classification: 17B05; 17B30
متن کاملCanonical coordinates for a class of solvable groups
For class R, type I solvable groups of the form N H, N nilpotent, H abelian, we construct an explicit layering with cross-sections for coadjoint orbits. We show that any ultrafine layer has a natural structure of fiber bundle. The description of this structure allows us to build explicit local canonical coordinates on .
متن کاملMath 5520 Class Notes Commutators, Solvable and Nilpotent Groups
A group is simple if it has no non-trivial, proper, normal subgroups. It’s not hard to show that if n > 4, then An is a simple group. Recall that for a field F , SLn(F ) is the subgroup of GLn(F ) consisting of matrices with determinant 1. Define PSLn(F ) = SLn(F )/Z(SLn(F )). Here, S is for “special” and P is for “projective.” It can be shown that PSLn(F ) is simple for all n and F except for ...
متن کاملCharacterization of Solvable Groups and Solvable radical
We give a survey of new characterizations of finite solvable groups and the solvable radical of an arbitrary finite group which were obtained over the past decade. We also discuss generalizations of these results to some classes of infinite groups and their analogues for Lie algebras. Some open problems are discussed as well.
